Rock on 22nd is opening it's doors with a heck of a party on Saturday, September 21st from 3-7pm.
The new space in "Little NoDa" (that strip of North Davidson that hosts Amelie's, Abari, and Cordelia Park) is ready to rock with the help of their sponsor, DPR Construction and friends. Over 100k of renovations and upgrades have been donated to the nonprofit space.
Girls Rock and Pachyderm Music Lab have been getting everything ready since February of this year and plan on using the space for music lessons, group classes, workshops, and renting the space out to nonprofits for small meetings.
Rock on 22nd is stunning.
Built in 1900, the house is believed to belong to a mill manager when NoDa was all textile factories. The 2 story home has a lot of character and all of that was held in tact and highlighted during the home upgrades.
In addition to tours, Saturday's Festivities include:
-Kids can enjoy making their own flags
-Tie Dying shirts
-Rainbow parachute fun
We'll also be making our mark. Attendees will be able to put their hand prints on the foundation of the back side of the house with colorful paint.
You can learn all about Pachyderm Music Lab and Girls Rock Charlotte at their info tables.
