A Note From Baller
When is the last time you did something really special for yourself? We owe it to ourselves and our loved ones to consider to search for the stuff that makes us grow our mind, body and spirit. The best fertilizer for serious growth is doing things that make us a little uncomfortable. Learning an instrument is cool, but awkward.
Put yourself in a room with people who are learning it all at the same time and you inevitably end up with a crowd of folks who have a unique bond.
It's through this peculiar experience that strangers can quickly come to have a deep connection and step up to support one another.
We participate in activities that get our bodies focused and our minds churning. We do this through music and through group activities.
Yes you will learn the basics of guitar, bass or ukulele no matter your experience level. It's more than that, though. Being a part of Lady Rockstars is an act of rebellion against gender stereotypes.
You'll lift each other up in a world that often encourages us to turn against each other. You'll be another drop in the growing pool of femme musicians and yes you'll be a musician. I'll teach you to own that shiz.
Lady Rockstars started in a warehouse in 2014 and it's created over 25 bands and counting. Each group was special and rocked the stage in their own beautiful way!
I care deeply about your success and am inspired by it. Seeing the smiles on all the faces of the ladies who step off the stage at the end of their final performance with that "after show glow" is my jet fuel.
If the thought of this excites you and scares you at the same time, that's good. Move toward it. You have to do the things that scare you or you'll never grow.
Thanks so much for reading. I hope you'll come with me on a rock n' roll journey and share our name with anyone you think would dig it as well.
If this speaks to you, join our band and help us change the world by punching gender-stereotypes in the face one day at a time.
